With expanding staff numbers in the different sections of the business, DNV GL required a larger office space which would engage all teams as one, whilst maintaining discretely zoned sections for their specific roles. This design and build project studied the requirements of a front and back of house layout, the flow patterns of each team throughout a given week, sun direction, the views, the functionality and DNV GL’s vision as market leaders in sustainability.
On a 750m2 floor plan, the space was built within 5 weeks which included a small data centre, a multi-use boardroom, meeting rooms a large kitchen and breakout space, tea points front of house and back of house, a sound proof pod , an assembly workshop, storage & utility rooms and an open plan office separating the various sections of the business with vertical planters and acoustic screens. Understanding the client’s values was crucial for this successful project.
